Last Minute Halloween Mini-Haul!

Hi everyone!  This is kind of random, but I wanted to share with you some of the random things that I picked up from Target tonight after work!  Over the past three days, I have been in and out of the office and getting a feel for what we have room for and what we need at our desk.  This is just a couple of things that I briefly picked up to hold me over until I have time to grab things over the weekend.  Also in here I have a few Halloween goodies that you'll love (I'm sure!).

So I have to be honest, I wanted to rip open this huge, jumbo bag of Reese's and eat all of them myself on the way home, but I completely refrained.  They still haven't been opened and I have been home for hours!  I also picked up the Fiber One Brownies in Chocolate Chip Cookies which are only 90 calories, they are awesome!  The sweetness of the brownies are sometimes just what you need in the afternoon with some coffee to keep you going and it's only 90 calories, love it.

Right below the Reese's (which are the most important thing in this mini haul actually) is an Embark Lunchbox.  Honestly, I thought the Embark brand was super expensive but when I went to the lunchbox aisle to pick one up (totally necessary for the office of course) I got mine for $4!  Can you believe that!?  I know this brand usually holds up pretty well, maybe I'll report back to you.

I also picked up some K-Cups to hold me over until I can get to Costco this weekend and get some more.  These will be good enough until I can grab the humungous box of about 50 (the more coffee, the better).  Starbucks, the darkest blend possible, is my favorite.  Whats your favorite blend, mine would have to be Kimono, but they didn't have it at Target.

The Kellogg's Special K Bars are amazing.  I usually get the Strawberry ones that are 90 calories but these, for only 20 more calories are so much more filling and they taste delicious all while giving you some protein.  They have two varieties at my Target and I prefer the Peanut Butter to the Dark Chocolate.  I usually try to get anything with coconut but they always have so many calories.  Ugh, #firstworldproblems.

Finally, I got this green and white baseball tee and these black pants (they are actually leggings but beautifully cut and brilliantly made with pockets, a zipper and a button).  I love the fit of the pants and they are so comfortable.  The only reason for the shirt purchase was because of a last minute Halloween costume.  I hadn't planned on dressing up but when I got to the office, the girls had an amazing idea and I had to tag along sense they invited me.  They were so nice in helping and including me and you will for sure find out what I was as soon as tomorrow rolls around!

I hope you guys enjoyed this quick, impromptu post full of fun things.  I just couldn't make it through the rest of the week without some K-Cups and bars at my desk so I grabbed them.  I can't wait to get a couple more things to make my desk feel like home and when I do, you will most definitely know about it!  What do you keep at your desk at work?  Send me a tweet or leave a comment below.  Be sure to also subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos coming soon!  Thanks for reading!

Holy Exfoli...ants!

Hi everyone!  I very recently uploaded a random fall haul where I showed you mostly candles and a few other things.  For the past couple of days I have been using two of the products that act as brilliant exfoliants.  Like I said, it has only been a couple of days but I figured I would let you know that I am absolutely loving them both so far!

I love this foot scrub/exfoliant that is actually only for the feet.  Now you might be thinking that it's silly for me to clarify this, but I have found that most products in stores like Lush are exfoliants for the body, not just for the feet.  I have been having problems with the skin on my feet (super dry, TMI I know) for years and have never really found anything to help and this actually does.  I have noticed that my feet have even looked cleaner and more refreshed when I have used this product.  I hope that it continues to impress me but so far I will most definitely repurchase.  The best part?  The price tag only ran me right under $5.

I know I have talked about how much I love the scent of Eucalyptus Spearmint before because of the candle but this is the best you can possibly get.  This is the best way to relax after a long day at work.  The candle is amazing but being able to exfoliate with this amazing scent and close your eyes and take deep breaths while in the shower is the best feeling!  It may sound silly but this is the best shower experience, hands down!  Without the coupon that I had used (made the product free), the product would have been $14.

Thanks so much for reading today's post.  I know that it was very brief but I had to let you know how I feel about the products.  What have you been loving for exfoliating especially now that the winter season is approaching!  Send me a tweet and let me know and you can always leave a comment below!

Pineapple Perfection - Clutching Onto Warmer Weather.

Hi everyone!  Click on the photo above to check out the video.  So I posted this video on my channel the other day but never got a chance to talk about it on the blog.  I was feeling so carefree this day as far as my outfit goes so I decided to just have some fun and enjoy what seems like the last bit of warmer weather that we had.

I love this really light, melon-colored oxford from h&m paired with the pineapple tank that is also from h&m.  The two together are such a summery vibe and they just make me so happy.  I had my classic summer favorite sunnies by Rayban on and my rose gold MK to along with it.  The shorts were DIY denim cut-offs, nothing special but just comfy and so easy to relax in.

I hope you guys like this super casual and relaxed outfit and be sure to tune in for some more outfits to be posted soon!  Send me a tweet and let me know what your last summery outfit was!  I want to know if we shared the same idea.  You can also leave a comment below.  Thanks for reading!

Heels in Haute Hues

As I have previously mentioned, starting a new job requires several new things.  You know, the more important things in life like a new bag, shoes, wardrobe, travel coffee mug, makeup, things to decorate my desk/office.  While I have some classics, I just can't help but shake the feeling that I want new absolutely EVERYTHING for when I begin this job.  Acknowledging the fact that I (and probably most) just don't have the budget to randomly replace everything, we will most likely have to take it one step at a time.

My feelings for wanting to replace everything and start new aren't irrational though, right?  I deserve it. I worked harder than you'll ever know in school, graduated, got my degree with honors and searched/ interviewed HARD for nine months to finally get this job.  There is nothing like starting fresh and celebrating such an amazing accomplishment for getting this far and finally starting my life!  I could not be more happy (as you can I'm sure figure out by now).

Next, after the bag, on my list is going to be the shoes.  I have some classics like I mentioned, but if I'm going to be wearing shoes like this everyday and for eight hours, I am going to have to invest in some more.  I can probably run in heels by now but I am sure I am going to have those days where I just wont want to wear heels and that's why I've included a flat option here.  There's also casual Friday, and who wants to be the one wearing heels on casual Friday (unless they're adorable and understated heeled booties or something).

Melvinia, Aldo, $100
I like the unexpected gold on this shoe.  Whenever I look to buy a new pair of black pumps, I always look for subtle things that make the shoe different and less boring.  If you have to wear a black pump everyday, you're going to have to try and jazz it up a little bit while keeping it appropriate for the office.

Galley Flat, Kate Spade, $180
In my eyes, these shoes are absolute perfection.  I normally don't tend to follow the fashion rules so I love a good winter white (starting in the fall).  Pairing these with an adorable skirt/dress and some solid or patterned tights will never hurt anyone and it is perfectly professional.  This design is just darling.

Sam&Libby Dominique, Target, $31.99

It's clear that probably the most attractive thing about this pair is the color, oh and the price tag!  Sam and Libby put out an adorable line at Target recently and I swooned over these wine colored, suede pumps!  I just love suede as a finish because it is sleek and understated making it professional and well put together.  Although oxblood/wine was major last year, it isn't going anywhere this year and I cannot wait to get my hands on these.  I will most likely pair them with a plain black dress for a great pop of color, or maybe I'll break them out for a holiday party?

Fancy Faux Suede, Forever 21, $32.80
These shoes are fantastic because they have the loafer look with an unexpected heel and color.  Emerald is another huge hue for the season and this shade is perfect.  Although it may be hard to wear these in the office, you can always pair them with a tan pant and an oxford/sweater combo or a plain dress of any complimentary color.  I cannot get enough of these.

No matter what you think you'll chose, I really want to try and grab all of these.  There are a couple of price points here, so put some on your Christmas list and buy some now to hold you over!  Send me a tweet and let me know what you think you'll be investing in.  These are just a few ideas and some inspiration for me, I will most likely look into some more (bad I know).  You can also feel free to leave a comment below.  Thank you so much for reading.

Outfit and Face Of The Day: October 16 (Video!)

Hi everyone!  I have posted a new video on my YouTube channel featuring an OOTD and FOTD.  I was really looking forward to posting something cute and casual because I ultimately have a goal soon to put up a complete fall lookbook that I have been working on!  Please click the photo below to check out the video and subscribe to my channel.

Also, let me know in the comments below what you have been wearing lately to run errands and hang out!  Now that fall is in the air, we can definitely feel the chill in New Jersey, so hoodies are sometimes a necessity.  Send me a tweet or leave a reply, looking forward to hearing from you!

Let's Not Skirt The Issue.

While I know I posted about skirts not too long ago, I just can't let my obsession go.  Although these are absolutely not appropriate for the type of office I will be in, I couldn't help but put together a set that I would take inspiration from if I worked in more of a creative environment.  I think these pieces are perfect for an editorial office, perhaps a magazine or something of the like.  I would probably wear some of the skirts above out with friends or style them down casually for errands (some of them).

What would you wear these skirts for?  Are they appropriate for work in your situation?  Let me know in the comments below or send me a tweet so we can chat.  Thanks for reading!

Leroy Street Linsley Kate Spade Bag!

So I am so thrilled to finally be able to say that I got a job!  After months (9 to be exact) of stressful and grueling searching, countless sleepless nights and anxious days I have finally been able to score a job thats been in my dreams for a very long time.  Although it's physically impossible for me to express my happiness here in words, I must tell you that I am over the moon.

That said, there are a few things that I am going to have to purchase to get my life going!  These are important life purchases that have to last me a while, ya know, the basics: a sturdy work bag, a professional wardrobe appropriate for the office, shoes and more.  Although I am lucky enough to have most of what I need now, I can't help but scour the web and browse the stores for some new stuff to add to my repertoire.

I haven't purchased this bag yet, but when I was on the Kate Spade website, I saw that it was on sale!  It caught my eye because it was super adorable and a color palette that I absolutely loved.  As you can tell, the bag is pretty springy/summery but I think that sense it's so neutral, it can work in any of the seasons.  I love the versatility of it because of the shoulder strap and the classic handbag strap that allows you to carry it easily in the crook of your arm.

How darling is the classic Kate Spade logo and hardware all in gold?

The inside of the bag is super cute with black and white pinstripes.  This probably isn't the cleanest option for the inside of a bag that will be housing so many of my day to day essentials, but I'm not complaining about how cute it is!  It could be worse, it could be white or cream colored.

Probably the best part of this bag is the bottom.  How adorable is this black bow?  Signature Kate Spade, delivering probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen!

This bag is most definitely in the running for one I might ultimately buy when picking out new bags for work.  Like I said, I am so thrilled to finally be able to starting working in a job that I worked so hard to get my degree for, this is a dream come true!  If you guys would like some sort of a series that deals with the job search and tricks/tips let me know!  Thank you so much for reading, send me a tweet!

Pinterest is my love.

Pinterest and Polyvore have been my obsession lately and because I have posted a set that I created on Polyvore the other day, I wanted to show you guys my Pinterest!  I love Pinterest because its a very organizationally-focused social media and I am happy about that (loser, hahah).  I have more boards than you can see in this picture that include decoration ideas, food ideas and so on.

Check it out if you like Pinterest and leave me your links below so that we can follow and take inspiration from each other!  Do you guys have Polyvore as well?  Also let me know below.  Thank you so much for reading, you can always send me a tweet.

Hot Chocolate

Who's been loving fall lip colors recently?  Me.  I know the weather hasn't really been cooperating, but I didn't really care.  I don't normally tend to follow the tides when it comes to trends, as you know, and I do what I want at all times.  This Satin finish from MAC called Hot Chocolate is divine.  I always hear beauty gurus on Youtube talking about super popular colors and it just makes me want to try something that I've never heard of even more, hence Hot Chocolate.

I also normally tend to go for matte colors over any other finish because I love the lasting power, but this time I tried something different because I have almost all of the matte colors.  I could be wrong, but I think Satin is a finish very similar to Matte in which it has a decent staying power and has a really nice application.

The color is a wine red/purple combination and I can totally appreciate it for a casual day and it's even office appropriate because it's not too bold.  I even like it because it has such a warmth to it; in color and in it's name.  I would definitely recommend giving the shade and even this finish a try.

What lip colors have you been loving?  Let me know in the comments below and send me a tweet if you'd like.  Thank you for reading!

Fall Fashion by iJustine.

So I don't think I could get any happier with how today is going.  I must be honest with you, I spent a majority of this day doing nothing but that is how you're supposed to spend your day off, no validation necessary.  While this is true, it wasn't until now (5:28 p.m.) that I found the true meaning of this day, this gem, "Fall Fashion" by iJustine.

Please, for all that is good and holy, take a look at this wonderful tutorial by iJ and let her explain to you the ways of fall fashion.  The reason why I felt the need to share this is because it combines two of my loves: fall fashion and internet video/social media/youtube.  Oh, did I mention... my favorite color is orange.

Send me a tweet and let me know what some of your favorite things to wear for fall are.  I tend to gravitate heavily toward the leggings/jeans and tall boots thing.  I love being comfortable when I'm dressing casual and I think its perfect for the fall time.  Although I most likely wont be rocking the same look as iJ, I can totally dig the color palette and instead of tying leaves around me, I'd love to roll around in some outside.

The skirt game and I have been "cliquing" lately.

I can't get enough and have truly been obsessed with ankle booties, even since mid-August when it was way to hot to wear them (even though it still is now because its been eerily hot lately).  That being said, I set out to create a set based on skirts today but I ended up making this and just absolutely loving everything about it.

When I chose the skirts I wanted to style, I was thinking, "Oh, I'll make this a New York vs. Los Angeles" type thing.  I figured with the leather being NY and the white being LA there would be a difference but I would wear both outfits.  I can no classify the difference being the left outfit I would wear for fall (with tights if necessary) and the right I'd wear for a haute summer night.

Let me know where you'd wear both outfits in the comments below.  You can also send me a tweet and let me know what you'd style differently.  Pin with me and share some of your favorite quotes and outfits.  Also check out my Youtube channel for some videos soon!  Talk to you all soon and thank you for reading.

The Fall Primaries

Hey everyone!  I am back.  I know I have posted on here much in September, but I have been busy and super tired lately.  I have been thinking about soooo many different things that I can post here and I have tons of ideas including some styling videos and hauls and more.  How have you all been?  The weather has been legitimately out of control.  For about two weeks in September, it felt like it was turning into fall and then all of a sudden at the end and when October started, it was (and still is) 80 degrees all of the time.

With that being said, I am so happy to start primarily wearing darker colors on my nails and I am most certainly ready to start wearing darker clothes.  Not that I tend to follow rules when it comes to fashion, I just really like making it feel a little bit more like fall around this time of year all around.  I thought it would be cute to do a post on the fall primaries.  No, I am not talking about an election of some kind, hahah.  As you know, red, blue and yellow are the primary colors so I selected a color from each palette to share with you.  I hope this inspires you to try something different, read on!

Blue: Ski Teal We Drop, OPI

Yellow: Colour Punch, MAC

Red: Mirror Mirror, Sinful Colors

Ski Teal We Drop is a great color.  I feel like it came out with the Swiss collection or something and when I saw it I knew I had to have it.  It is exactly what it says, a teal, but a dark teal.  I think this is the perfect selection for someone who wants to wear a blue and transition to the fall at the same time.  As you all know, I have raved about the formulation of the OPI polishes before, so thats not even a question.  Dark teal is divine in my book!

Mirror Mirror is interesting.  I love the color and the reason why I picked it up was because I heard that Sinful Colors came out with a "Gel" range and I wanted to see if it was worth the hype.  For $1.99, Sinful Colors makes a great polish and I usually like all of the colors they come out with.  All of these things combined, nothing ever stops me from picking up a couple of bottles when I'm at the drugstore.

This polish, because it was marketed as gel, was marked up a dollar to $2.99, which I didn't mind because that is also a steal.  I have this color red already but I was so into the "oxblood" color because it was so lovely last year and I knew it would be again.  What I have to say is that the formula of this one is not as good as the regular ones.  I was surprised because I also thought the color payoff would be extra shiny (rightfully so, as gel polishes normally come out this way).  The application wasn't easy and it was kind of goopy.

The MAC polish is really pretty.  The application is really nice and I love the color, it just reminds me of falling leaves and it makes me genuinely happy.

Will you try these colors?  Let me know in the comments below or send me a tweet.  Thank you so much for reading the blog and be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel if you want to see some outfits coming up soon!
