May The Odds Be Ever in Your Favor!

How adorable is this ring?  Whenever the colder weather comes around again, I tend to switch my watch and wear my gold MK.  I love doing this because its a change of pace and I just love my gold MK!  I picked this up on Black Friday actually from Old Navy and I think it's such a subtle little piece to add to my collection.  Sometimes I get annoyed when wearing rings and this one was a perfect fit for me and hasn't bothered me at all, so that makes me happy (especially when my job requires me to sit at a computer all day long).  Check out your local Old Navy and see if they have it!

Have you purchased anything new as far as jewelry goes lately?  I love this ring!  Let me know in the comments below where you normally purchase cute little jewelry like this.  You can also send me a tweet!  Thanks so much for reading and I'll see you back here tomorrow.

Beauty Hacks?

Image via BeautyHigh
I must be honest, when I saw this I was a little apprehensive.  I normally just pass these types of articles by because I don't want to just sit there and read the same article again and again.  This one though, I gave it a shot.  The first reason is because I used to work at Beauty High, so I am a little impartial, haha.  The second reason is because most times the articles like this just say "Other uses for beauty products" or something like that, but this one was "Beauty Hacks" which is completely different and I like that.

My favorites from this article are definitely the weird one about the coconut oil and the tooth brush for mascara de-clumping, I love them both!  I feel like you can use a toothbrush for so many different things in beauty but I never thought about using it to de-clump my mascara and it seems like the simplest idea.  I am a very happy person with all of these new tricks, they also seem very practical.

Check out the article and let me know what you think!  You can leave a comment below or send me a tweet.  Is there anything that the article is missing?  Let me know.  Thanks for reading.

OOTD: Wine and Heeled Booties.

AHHHH!  Hello everyone!  I have another OOTD for you guys and I probably could not be more excited for this one.  Funny enough, this is another outfit that features the wine hue of red and I don't really care because I am obsessed with it, like I said yesterday.  I am still working on purchasing another camera, I can't decide which one I want so it is taking me extra long!

I hope you guys enjoyed this video!  Share with me in the comments below what you like most about winter because right now as I am writing this post, I am looking outside my window and vastly different weather than seen in the video:

What are you wearing to stay comfortable in the cold?  Thanks for reading and be sure to come back tomorrow as Blogmas continues!  Guys I am SO HAPPY today for some reason!  Send me a tweet or leave a comment and I will TALK TO YA LATER.

Red Red Wineeeee

Today was the first cold day that we have had in so long.  I don't know why because we are in December now, but it has been so mild and I am not complaining at all.  Now it is time to complain, haha.  I am just not a winter person at all, the only thing I like about winter is the clothing choices that we have.  Speaking of clothing choices, I wanted to show you the outfit I wore today.

How adorable are these shoes?  i love them.  The best thing about them is that they are super comfortable because they are essentially just sneakers.  It's not like you can run a marathon or anything in these but you know what I mean.  These are adorable and fashionable (IMO) sneakers to wear for my casual weekend day!  The are from H&M.  I had to head over to the eye doctor (finally) and out to Target to pick up a couple of things so i wanted to keep my outfit choice very simple.

The jeans I am wearing are just Rockstar Jeans from Old Navy.  I LOVE this style/fit from them so much because they just fit my body SO well.  For the past couple of years I have refrained from buying new jeans solely for the fact that I had lost the weight and I didn't want to spend so much money on clothes that I wouldn't fit in a month later.  That's the good thing about buying jeans from Old Navy, the price is not an INVESTMENT price, but a very investment quality.  I love them.   I also have a couple of pairs of Rockstar Jeans in a wine red color and a forest green as well, they are perfection!

The shirt that I am wearing I had originally worn with leggings and boots but it is adorable with jeans too.  I love to take this top and wear it a million different ways.  The material is a little more dense than a normal shirt, which I like because it actually keeps your warm.  The fit is actually billowy too, which makes me happy, it's like... 'Autumn Doll Chic' lol!  For lack of better words and description of course.  I got the top from Forever 21 over the summer in New York so I am not sure if you can still find it.  I should also mention that the back is open all the way down to the middle of the back, it's really pretty!

The sweater that I'm wearing over the top of my shirt is also from Forever 21.  I love it because it reminds me of a big cozy sweater but it is a larger, more open knit so it's not too hot to wear around the house or anything.  You definitely need something else on top if you are leaving the house.  I call it the grandpa sweater and it's one that I am most definitely not afraid to don out anywhere!

My favorite part of this outfit was by far the shoes although I love everything about it.  When I think of 'Weekend Chic' this is exactly what I think of because it is just so effortlessly comfortable and cute.  What are you guys wearing this weekend?  I also looked at a couple of cameras today so I think I might purchase one in the near future and I could not be more excited!  Thank you all so much for reading!  Send me a tweet or leave a comment below if you would like.  See ya tomorrow!

Work Christmas Party!

Pardon the silly selfie, but I just HAD to, I was in the mood.  Please also take note that this picture was taken after I had gotten home for the night, so my hair looks a little flat!  Today was my work Christmas party and it was fun!  We all felt a little bit rushed because the party started at 6pm and we don't get done working till 5pm but it was okay.  We arrived at the party by 7pm, you know, fashionably late.

I had to get a good shot of the food and wine, you know, the most important part!  Also, yes, that IS a glass bowl with mashed potatoes in it that looks like a martini glass without a stem.  The party had a mashed potato bar!  It was pretty cool to be able to chose regular or sweet mashed potatoes and then choose toppings from a bar, very neat!

I wore this red dress from Forever 21 that I got about a year ago!  I do love it and I never get a chance to wear it.  My shoes were from Aldo and my cardigan was just to keep warm, from Target.  I kept my hair pretty simple as I just waved it with my curler.  The weather was NOT cooperating, it was so nasty and raining so that didn't help in the hair department.  As you had seen from the selfie that started this post, I didn't wear any other makeup aside from mascara (don't forget, this selfie was taken after I had gotten home, at the very end of the night, so my hair did actually stay in better than I had thought).  I am still having problems with my eyes so I decided to keep it simple and not wear anything because I didn't want to irritate anything.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment and let me know what you plan on wearing to your Christmas parties for work!  I would love to know.  Also, send me a tweet if you'd like and I'll see you guys tomorrow!

Jingle Bellllllllls!

I LOVE this holiday look book by Glamourista16, she is super adorable!  What are you guys wearing to your holiday parties?  I also really love how the video is shot and edited.  What do you guys think?  Share your thoughts below or send me a tweet so I can hear your thoughts!

Under the cuff? No, under the collar.

Today was an extremely mild day.  I can't believe how warm it actually has been for the past couple of days.  Over Thanksgiving it wasn't the coldest either, but it was a little chillier than it has been the past couple of days.  While I do speak the truth, I went to work dressed nearly for winter today.  I don't know why because I could have probably gotten away with dress capris, but this necklace seemed more fun to wear if I dressed it with a darker shirt for fun.

I love the look of statement necklaces under collars, they just look so good.  I was unsure about how professional and appropriate an under the collar necklace would really be for the office but this one is perfect because although the colors are really bright, I paired it with a black top and a gem toned pair of green pants, which tones down and matches with the other green (the mint) in the necklace.  I should probably mention that I did pick this necklace up from Old Navy!

Have you guys ever been a fan of the bib necklace/a statement necklace for under the collar?  I know I'm obsessed and I probably wont be able to get enough, EVER.  I found the burried bauble on BaubleBar for today but I don't know if I necessarily want to take advantage of it, I might like the next one better.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, sign up for BaubleBar's e-mails so they can inform you when specials and deals are going on.  You don't have to pay for anything and they are a super adorable jewelry company that is full of fun statement pieces.  Thank you so much for reading today!  Send me a tweet or leave a comment below and I'll see you tomorrow!

My MINT Magic.

Please excuse any errors in this entry because I must admit.. I am listening to Timber by Pitbull and Ke$ha.  ANYWAY.  I had originally planned to post a video today that had an OOTD because I wore something adorable the other day to for shopping with some friends, but I've been having issues with my phone lately bringing my footage to the computer.  I really must invest in a nice camera to film videos with so that I can try and step up the production value on my videos and I do plan to do that.   Especially now that i have a job, I can make that purchase and I am so happy about it!

So instead of being able to show you guys my outfit, I bring you my current obsession.  Every year around this time, I start to get obsessed with candy canes, naturally.  All year round I am a fan of the Eucalyptus Spearmint candle from Bath and Body Works, so I WOULD use the lotion.  I actually scored this lotion on a Black Friday sale and I couldn't be more excited about it being that I normally buy everything anyway so it was nice to pick it up at a sale price.

The only thing ISSSS.. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but it is missing the spout part of the glass bottle.  I was trying so hard to open the bottle that I tried a little bit TOO hard and completely broke it off.  I am too obsessed with the lotion to bring it back so I am going to just use it and probably end up buying another one, like I always do with the ES scented stuff!  I love the lotion because of the therapeutic/relaxing smell and how soft it is.  As opposed to the other lotion that I have at my desk at work, this lotion is so soft when you apply it and it's like a small trip to the spa every time you use it.  Another thing is that this lotion is good for sensitive skin (on the hands).  I, of course you know, DO NOT trust anything on my face just yet.

Moving on to the next minted obsession are my Twisted Peppermint candles!  I love this scent and for probably about three years now, this has been in cahoots with the Winter Candy Apple scent for my favorite holiday aroma to have going in my room.  I can't decide which one I like more but I must admit that Twisted Peppermint might be beating out WCA just because it molds so well with my ES lotion and is so relaxing for the evening after a nice long work day.  I have two going here because the smaller one was almost done and fading fast, so I didn't hesitate to start burning another 3-wick.

I won't be making any promises, but I hope that perhaps tomorrow I can have some sort of video up for you!  I really want to get some of my work outfit videos up so I can show you office chic, because it is so exciting to be able to bring my style into a professional setting and do it correctly.  I will talk to you guys tomorrow and I hope you are having a great day!  As always, you can leave a comment or send me a tweet if you would like.  Thank you for reading and I will talk to you tomorrow!

Manicure Monday: Bewitched by Revlon.

Hi everyone, hope you all had a fantastic day.  So I have a Manicure Monday for you today that I'm pretty pumped up about.  I must be honest, I have a ton of red nail polishes and I didn't really need to go out and get another one but for some reason I was really in the mood for a Revlon red that I didn't have.  I know, shocking.  I have, I think, three Revlon reds in my collection but none of them were exactly what I wanted so I decided to go pick one up.

I hadn't purchased nail polish in a long time to be honest so i wasn't feeling extra terrible about this purchase, especially sense this is a drugstore polish and I already know I'm going to like it and get a lot of use out of it.  Revlon is always the way to go if you're looking for a great polish that will work the first time.  This is the first time I am trying the pictured top coat, but I have a ton of different polishes from Revlon that I love.  Normally, the first coat is pretty opaque but you guys know that I always do two anyway.

This color is called Bewitched and I like it for a couple of reasons.  Reason number one is the color.  The shade is a gorgeous berry red hue that just looks so perfect on the nail.  I think this is just the right holiday color to wear on your nails in the office without looking like a big, bright red flashing lightbulb or a gold disco ball.  I think sometimes red nails can look a little tacky, especially in the office but I definitely think this is perfectly fine.

Reason number two that I like this polish is because I just love the formula.  The polish glides right on and basically dries in two seconds.  Granted, you are going to want to wait the ample amount of time after you apply polish, but this dries amazingly fast and it's not all over the bottle "FAST-DRYING," because those are the ones that usually don't work.

Anyway!  I hope you guys are doing well and enjoyed this Manicure Monday post!  Send me a tweet and let me know what you are wearing on your nails today or for the week?  You can always leave a comment below if you'd like as well!  Thank you so much for reading and come back tomorrow!
