Pointy Flats!

I recently posted about my obsession with shoes that has developed over the past couple of years and I don't know about you but once that obsession starts, I feel as though there is no end in sight.  To be frank with you though, I am TOTALLY okay with that.  The reason why I justify this post with that thought is that I found yet ANOTHER post about shoes where I like almost every single shoe that they feature.

I have always been a fan of the pointed shoe.  I don't know, something about it is just fabulous.  I think it might be the professional aspect of the shoe and how polished it looks, but there's just something about it.  I have always worn the shoe because I think not only is it divine in a professional setting, but casual is really where you can make the pointed-style shoe live.

Whether I'm in the office or out on the town, I never discount the pointed style.  To take it even further, I can't get over how DARLING the style is of the "Easy Going/Sophe" open-sided flat is.  I have a couple of pairs myself and I just love pairing them with almost anything.  You can see me style a SUPER casual outfit with a pair of my open-sided, pointy flats in a video here and there are so many more of those videos to come.  I have to be honest with you and tell you that that wasn't my best outfit ever, but I was running out to do a couple of errands and I wanted something quick and it's what I chose.

Check out this article and let me know if you share my feeling on this style or if you hate it.  Send me a tweet or leave me a comment below, I would love to know what you think.  Thanks for stopping by!

Opal Rings!

Sooooo, you might think it's some sort of weird sigh that I'm posting all of this wedding stuff lately but for some reason I have just been running into a bunch of it.  I know wedding season is basically JUST around the corner so there's a reason that almost every single publication is posting about random wedding things.  Although I am depressingly single, I can't help but look at these posts and just wish that I had some of these things for my wedding.

One of the things that I know I couldn't give up when getting married is a traditional ring.  I would give up an elaborate ceremony anyway for a fantastic ring.  I don't know why but it just would be so fun to have an awesome ring.  With that being said, I came across this article by Refinery 29 about 'Discreet Engagement Rings for the Subtle Bride.'  I have to say, most of them are soooooo not my style at all, but there was one in the list that was to die for.  I wouldn't replace it for the ring that I would love to have eventually but I just love the simplicity and beauty in this ring.

The opalescent feature of this ring is beautiful and its so different.  I love the shape and feel like it's so delicate and feminine.  Not as a wedding ring, but as a ring to wear occasionally, I would definitely fit this into my jewelry box.  What do you think?  Send me a tweet or leave a comment below!

Would you wear these pairs of shoes?

Guys!  Okay, I can't even really begin to explain how obsessed I am with this post by The Cut.  Normally I am not as excited about shoes as I am about clothes of any kind but for some reason this caught me by surprise.  Ever since about two years ago, I started to become so in love with shoes for so many reasons, one of them being the fact that I finally came to terms with the fact that walking around everywhere with NO shoes on at all, was not practical.

I was that person.  I always walked around places with no shoes on.  Especially during the summer and when I had my beach badge checking job.  I always walked out of the house with no shoes on at all.  I know, this is really bad but I said to myself what is the point of wearing shoes if I am going to be sitting on the beach all day long not needing shoes in the first place.  On my breaks, I would walk to town for an ice cream or some lunch... COMPLETELY BAREFOOT.

Although this is how I wish I could live my entire life, I am so kicking myself for it and I am not happy about it.  I'm telling you guys, walking around barefoot all of the time is a temporary high because it makes you so happy at that moment but not in the future.  Fast forward years later and my already tortured feet are even worse than I thought they could be.

ALRIGHT, enough of that.  I came across this article from The Cut called "50 Wildest Most Torturous Shoes of All Time" and I instantly envied almost everything on the list.  Although I know MOST of them I couldn't (nor would want to try to) walk in, I just think they are the coolest thing in the entire world.  Below are a couple of my favorites.

None of the photos belong to me of course!  I just wanted to share how darling and admirable they were.  What is the most daring pair of shoes you have worn?  Leave a comment below or send me a tweet.  Thank you so much for reading and I'll talk to you soon.

Alternative Wedding Dresses!

I guess you could say I'm mildly obsessed recently with the research of alternative wedding gowns.  Ever since I knew what a wedding was, I have always pictured myself getting married on a beach in a dress from Free People and now that I've discovered everything else there is in the world of alternative wedding dresses, my dreams continue forward to find the perfection that is one day that will symbolize the rest of my life.

This Daisy Chemical Lace dress by none other than Free People, is an obvious favorite.  After I just got done telling you that I would die to get married on a beach in a Free People dress, this definitely tickles my fancy.  While I can't completely agree on the footwear choice, or the sleeves on this dress, I love the bottom of it the most.  I don't LOVE the huge daisies on the dress but this is the idea of something I can see myself in on the beach.  Simple, but so pretty and pure.

This Delphine Manivet gown from Lovely NY is darling.  There are so many things that I love about it but the first thing is that it would be perfection for a beach wedding.  Of course I take the approach that we are talking about MY wedding day, hahaha.  Obviously sold with a slip, this gown is perfect because while it is clearly nontraditional in many ways, the shape of it is very traditional (open back, long and to the ground).  I love the off white color and the beautiful lace.  Purely fantastic.

This Catherine Deane Green Primrose Satin Finish Georgette Dress from My Wardrobe is fantastic for multiple reasons but what I wont get on board with is the color.  If there is one thing I'll steer completely clear of when chosing something for my weddings it's anything other than white.  I love the shape of the top of this so much that it would be enough for me to fall for but I just CANNOT do a green wedding dress so I would have to get it in white.  I would feel like I was getting married in a comic book or something and that's a big no-no.  What do you think?

What do you think about alternative wedding dresses?  Do you think you can see yourself walking down the aisle in one of them?  In my case, it would be along the coastline, but nevertheless you'll be walking somewhere.  Sound off in the comments below or send me a tweet!
