Finals, shopping, Lush and thinking of yourself.

I figured that I would include a couple of pictures today because I love including photo's of the things that I have been doing lately.  Christmas shopping for me started and ended almost in the same exact day it seemed.  Very annoying, but I had a lot to do at the end of the semester so there was no time for me to go out and get things.  It was a stressful day because I got everything for everyone on that day (well aside from stocking stuffers).

To calm myself down a little bit in the midst of my week of final exams, I did some shopping for myself.  This is of course after saying that I barely had time for shopping for anyone else.  While this is true, there is one thing I learned, you have to make time to calm yourself down during finals week.  If you are feeling defeated the whole time, you cannot perform your best on your exams, so make time for yourself.  With that being said, I needed to go shopping for a winter jacket being that the one that I had from last year is now too big (eek! yay).  I found this one from Old Navy.

Please ignore my terrible face.  I love something about the white but I just know that its going to get dirty!  I don't want to risk being worried about the coat wherever I go.  I love the toggles on this jacket because toggles make me happy on anything.  There was another jacket in H&M but I didn't get a chance to take a photo.  I ended up not getting this one because I was too worried about getting it dirty. Please notice my goodies from Apple in the background! ;)

On the left is a phone case that I really wish that I had purchased.  I think when I go back to the Freehold Mall, I am going to have to pick it up.  I wonder if they have it in the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets?  They might!  I am a huge flamingo fan, they make me so happy.  This case is to die.

The last couple of things that I picked up while I was at the Freehold Mall were from Lush.  I am so in love with Lush and I am mad that they only have one in the Freehold Mall which is about 45 minutes away from me.  The mall that is about 20 minutes away from me is much smaller.  Anyway!  I picked up Fun, Ocean Salt and Alkmaar.  Now I had high hopes for the Fun product because I liked the way it smelled in the store and enjoyed the idea of it.  I obviously made a huge mistake by taking the entire thing in the shower with me and not just taking one piece off at a time.  Fun is supposed to be a shampoo, conditioner, and body wash at the same but I would only use it as a body wash.  The scent is lovely but I don't recommend it.

Ocean Salt is just a sample.  I am in LOVE with the scent of it, it's like a Margherita.  The salty-ness and smell reminds me of summer and makes me happy.  Ocean Salt is an exfoliant which is really lovely for the face and I was happy with it when I used it.  I don't know if I will repurchase because the price is a little high and I enjoy my St. Ive's Apricot Scrub for $4 a lot better.

Finally, Alkmaar is an all-time Lush favorite for me.  I just LOVE the scent and its great in the shower, a jasmine/honeysuckle adventure! :)

Okay, well I think that is it for now.  I am going to go and watch more Desperate Housewives because like I said, I am completely addicted!  I realized that yesterday I didn't tell you guys, but I have a YouTube channel!  Go ahead and subscribe! :)

Where I have been, Christmas and Desperate Housewives.

Everyone!  Hello!  I am so excited to be writing here again.  I kind of knew that it wasn't going to be long before I stopped writing because of school.  Everything was so intense this semester and a lot more work than I thought it was going to be.  I cannot believe that it is over, but I am done with all of my undergraduate coursework!  It is insane to believe but I have earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism!  How insane is that?!  Ahhhhh!  Well this is provided that all of my grades are passing, but duh! ;)  I worked so hard this semester that I just cannot wait to have these next couple of days off.  With that being said, I also can't believe that I have nothing to be doing for the next couple of days.  I cant believe that I have nothing due or no deadlines right now.

I had such an amazing Christmas (yesterday).  I really am so thankful for everyone that I have in my life.  My dad is phenomenal and truly my hero.  I am so excited to be able to say that I got a new laptop!  I am very happy so also say that I got a brand new Michael Kors watch to add to my collection.  Thank you, Dad!  I also got some amazing candles which my dad knows that I love and a perfume, Viva La Juicy, that he also knows that I wanted.  Everything is beautiful and I am so excited!  I will post pictures of everything maybe tomorrow or something.

For dinner and festivities, we went to my "aunt and uncles" house.  They are amazing.  I guess maybe you can actually call them cousins, I dont know.  Every holiday we spend with them now for the past two years or so and i could not be more thankful.  They are the most amazing people and I love going there, spending time with them and getting together for amazing food and company.  We actually went to their house for Hurricane Sandy and "evacuated" our house (this can be a whole other post).  We were nervous that grandpa was not going to make it home from the hospital because he was there due to pneumonia (not good at all, he was there a couple of days).  He was able to come home midday on Christmas, just in time for dinner.  It was literally amazing and made the day a whole lot better.

Okay, well, I think I will go now and finish watching Desperate Housewives, I am so addicted to this show.  I started watching on Netflix and I could not love it more.  I dont think some things here will even make sense because I keep pausing to watch.  Hahahahaahhahahaha.

I am very excited to be writing here again and I cant wait to post more regularly.  Send me a tweet if you read this and leave some comments!
