Beauty Products I Can't Wait To Use In Autumn!

You know it's true.  Every season, there are certain things you just cannot wait to use and do.  Whether it be bake the cookies, pies or anything else you might bake, the fall/autumn candles, haunted houses, corn mazes or fall decor.  Anything that reminds you of a certain season gets you excited when that season comes around.  A short while ago, I wrote a blog post about certain outfits that I am really excited to start wearing when the cooler weather comes, but here are a few beauty products I can't wait to use.

Are there certain things that you are excited to use when the chillier weather starts gracing us with its presence?  I know for sure these are the first couple of things I'll reach for.  I have to be honest with you, I already started using the Hot Chocolate lipstick from MAC, it's one of my absolute favorites.  Sorry I couldn't find a good enough swatch, they must not make it anymore.  This makes me so sad!  Let me know in the comments what you can't wait to use or send me a tweet.  Thanks for reading!

OOTD: Brown Booties and Legwarmers!

Today was a pretty day outside despite the gross temperature.  I seriously am beginning to really hate it so much but what can I say, it's winter.  I could have talked about it yesterday but I guess I was bitter, but we are having another supposedly 'gigantic' snowstorm that is due to start tomorrow and go right into Monday.  Being that I was armed with that information yesterday, I decided to take my errands and trip to the mall TODAY to avoid all chaos that may ensue early tomorrow morning in prep for what I hope will be the last snowstorm of the season!

I wanted to be comfortable and of course casual so I just decided to throw on these jeans from Forever 21.  I just got these this year and they are the best.  They are high-waisted and so comfortable that I love wearing them either on dress down day to work, or for a casual weekend day.

My favorite part of the outfit was most definitely the shoes.  I had to throw on some legwarmers (here they of course look like ankle warmers) because it was so darn cold.  The shoes are the stars, they are form Aldo.  I love these booties and when I bought them this fall, I was thinking that they were only going to be wearable for the fall season, but they transition perfectly into the winter and I still wear them so often.  I love the comfort and polished look they give.  When I was looking for the style upon first wanting them, this is what I was picturing so I couldn't believe I was able to find exactly that.

I talked to you the other day about the color on my nails, Braziliant by Essie.  I love this color and I told you why, but I will tell you again.  To be honest, the color just makes me happy and it makes me think about the spring that doesn't feel like we are EVER going to get!  It's a little difficult to see here (thanks Dad, lol) but I am wearing a silver ring from Forever 21 that is a wrap around ring with a square on one side and a triangle on the other, I love it!  The second ring that I decided to wear was a gold one with a small blue embellishment that forms a bow.  My watch is of course my MK 5606.  I love mixing medal by throwing a random piece of silver in there (I don't wear it that much).  All of the gold mixes great with the shoes and it makes me happy!

I also had my little ten-year-old cousin with me today who decided he wanted to get artistic and try to get a 'cool pic' of my 'standing on the edge' idea.  I don't know, I just went ahead and let him so what he wanted!

Here's the entire outfit.  The top was a plain navy blue peasant top with gold detail down the front.  It was nothing special so I didn't get a close up.  For this, I wanted to show you how I took the cold weather and turned it into something fun to dress up fall booties with leg warmers.  Such a casual and fun look for the weekend and it made me happy!  What are you wearing this weekend?  Leave me a comment or send me a tweet and let me know!  Stay warm and thank you for reading!  xoxo

Where I have been, Christmas and Desperate Housewives.

Everyone!  Hello!  I am so excited to be writing here again.  I kind of knew that it wasn't going to be long before I stopped writing because of school.  Everything was so intense this semester and a lot more work than I thought it was going to be.  I cannot believe that it is over, but I am done with all of my undergraduate coursework!  It is insane to believe but I have earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism!  How insane is that?!  Ahhhhh!  Well this is provided that all of my grades are passing, but duh! ;)  I worked so hard this semester that I just cannot wait to have these next couple of days off.  With that being said, I also can't believe that I have nothing to be doing for the next couple of days.  I cant believe that I have nothing due or no deadlines right now.

I had such an amazing Christmas (yesterday).  I really am so thankful for everyone that I have in my life.  My dad is phenomenal and truly my hero.  I am so excited to be able to say that I got a new laptop!  I am very happy so also say that I got a brand new Michael Kors watch to add to my collection.  Thank you, Dad!  I also got some amazing candles which my dad knows that I love and a perfume, Viva La Juicy, that he also knows that I wanted.  Everything is beautiful and I am so excited!  I will post pictures of everything maybe tomorrow or something.

For dinner and festivities, we went to my "aunt and uncles" house.  They are amazing.  I guess maybe you can actually call them cousins, I dont know.  Every holiday we spend with them now for the past two years or so and i could not be more thankful.  They are the most amazing people and I love going there, spending time with them and getting together for amazing food and company.  We actually went to their house for Hurricane Sandy and "evacuated" our house (this can be a whole other post).  We were nervous that grandpa was not going to make it home from the hospital because he was there due to pneumonia (not good at all, he was there a couple of days).  He was able to come home midday on Christmas, just in time for dinner.  It was literally amazing and made the day a whole lot better.

Okay, well, I think I will go now and finish watching Desperate Housewives, I am so addicted to this show.  I started watching on Netflix and I could not love it more.  I dont think some things here will even make sense because I keep pausing to watch.  Hahahahaahhahahaha.

I am very excited to be writing here again and I cant wait to post more regularly.  Send me a tweet if you read this and leave some comments!
