I know for sure I've told you guys about how obsessed I am with Instagram. I'm sure every single other person in the world is just as obsessed. I just can't explain the satisfaction that I get when I'm able to share the color and beauty of the things around me. It may sound a little lame for me to say but I just love the feeling. I actually would like to challenge you to do the same. It might get your creative juices flowing, you just never know. That being said, I just wanted to share with you some photos from my week, so check it out!
#1: Stormy Skies
For the first half of the week, I knew we were expecting stormy weather. We were warned several times to stay away from low-laying areas, prepare for severe weather, etc. I never am surprised with the weather we get here because after Sandy, anything is possible. Even before Sandy, I know that obviously nothing really gets 'crazy' weather wise, but there's always the potential for insane wind. There was a point in time this week though, that the water outside my window looked so calm, but the sky was almost as dark as night. I felt like I was sitting here waiting for a tornado and this is what this photo depicts. This has happened before, but the feeling I had during this moment in time was so strange. The room felt cold, I felt super alone and quite frankly it's amazing how the weather can make you feel! Don't you agree? What has the weather been like where you live? Hopefully better!
#2: Evening Regatta
When the sun finally decided to show its face for a little while, the sails in the area were able to put on a little regatta. This always makes me happy. For some reason, they always tend to happen around here on Tuesdays. I don't know much about the sailing culture as I don't belong, but I just love watching it from my windows and porch. I am lucky enough to be able to have this beautiful scenery so catching these things every once in a while just makes me happy. I found this to be especially funny/interesting because I saw the sail with a spider and the sail with the lightening bolt, hahaha. Also, the boat on the bottom right was so awesome. I wish I had gotten another photo of how cool it looked. The boat flags were beautiful and I just felt so 'nautical' hahaha. That sounds ridiculous but I don't care.
#3: Emoji Day, Duh!

I mean, I don't think I have to explain this at all. It was the only day you could use the July 17 emoji. You're welcome for this ~*eXtReMeLy*~ important piece of knowledge. I had to celebrate.
#4: The Fierce Level
You all know that I have an obsession with shoes and as I told you, it hasn't always been that way. These beauties from Aldo are actually something that I would have NEVER bought. When I saw them, I thought of trying something different and to be honest, I think they were on a killer sale. I don't think I could imagine my life without these now. #NoJoke. I mean seriously, how gorg are these!? Let us not forget to mention the fantastic pedicure that I have. I only say fantastic because of the color, I really didn't like the place I went to for it! I was a little upset because I've gone there before, but this time I just wasn't happy. Keep in mind, this isn't the same place I went to for my gel manicure. The place I went to for my gel manicure I LOVED, Star Nails! I want to try a pedicure there soon, perhaps this week with my Aunt. I didn't go there this time because of a timing issue.
Share your photos from this week on Twitter with me! Let me know what you've been up to. Thank you so much for reading and I look forward to talking with you all again soon! -Brit.
