Current Candle Crave: SPRING.

I know it's still only January but basically as soon as my birthday passes when January rolls around, I always just wish that we could skip to May.  Because that cannot happen, I decide to make it seem like it does by surrounding myself with colorful, spring/beachy smelling candles.  Recently I popped into Target for some things and I decided to take a visit to the candle aisle and I picked up a few.

I have definitely written about this candle on my blog before because this is the second one that I have purchased.  I was so happy to see this one on super sale when I walked down the aisle.  This is probably one of the candles that actually smells most true to coconut.  When I first saw it I was drawn in by the design of the packaging, it's gorgeous and my favorite color!  Check out your local Target and see if you can still pick one up.  I'm hoping they'll still be on shelves and that they weren't putting them on sale because they're discontinued.

I really don't think I have to say much about this scent.  I think these are new this year at Target as I haven't seen them before.  I know they come out with their own scents and change the packaging but I definitely haven't seen this one before and it measures up to the 'Coconut Grove' scent that they had I think about two years ago.  I cannot wait to burn these when I'm done with my current 'Lavender Lemon'

Sorry to be annoying about comparing things to Bath and Body Works candles but this one reminds me of 'Spring' from last season and I just LOVE everything about it!  It makes me so excited for the warmer weather.  On the label you can see that I guess it's supposed to be reminiscent of elements in a green smoothie?  I don't know about that.  I just love this and if you love a fresh, herb-y scent you will probably enjoy it as well.

Which candles have you been burning lately?  I cannot wait to burn these and just tell myself that it actually IS spring even though it isn't yet.  Send me a tweet and let me know what you're loving.  Thank you for reading as always.  -Brit.

Yes, another candle obsession.

Okay, here we go.  I am obsessed with yet another candle.  I was shopping for some more to add to my collection the other day (like I need any others) and I came across this Dayna Decker candle.  I first heard about Dayna Decker on Rachel Talbott's YouTube channel and I really wanted to try her candles.  She mentioned that they were pricey but when I was randomly looking in the candle section of Marshall's I found one!  I could not believe it.

My Dayna Decker candle burning.

This is one of the candles with a wooden wick.  Upon lighting the wick, you can hear it crackle.  Now when I first heard of a candle that crackled the entire time it was being burned I thought it would be annoying and loud, this isn't the case.  The sound that it makes is great because it's relaxing, but not distracting or overwhelming.

The scent of the candle is awesome.  There is a sandalwood/jasmine smell that is so great.  I love a great beachy/coconut candle, so sandalwood is always a favorite as well.  Another great note is the earthy-ness; I love it as a transition candle into spring.

Do you enjoy candles?  Have you tried Dayna Decker candles?  I have other candle purchases to share if you are interested in seeing them.  Thank you for reading and leave a comment if you would like.  Also, send me a tweet and let me know what kind of candles you enjoy.

Relaxing fashion.

When I get home from work and the majority of my day is over, I want to do nothing more than sit at my computer and read blogs for the rest of the day.  I absolutely love dressing up and looking great, but  loungewear is perfection in my eyes.

I was in Forever 21 last month and I picked up this great cream colored sweater.  Now this isn't your normal cable knit sweater, the fit is loose and relaxed with an open knit, diagonal pattern.  I love the simplicity and comfort it provides for just relaxing at home with some coffee or tea on a rainy afternoon just like today.  Don't get me wrong, you can absolutely throw a denim button up underneath this sweater and wear it with jeans and boots for a shopping day with the girls, but I love it for relaxing.

To go with the sweater is a classic pear of yoga pants from Victoria's Secret Pink.  Who doesn't love them, right?  These are just so comfortable and always make me feel relaxed but not sloppy.  Sometimes when you're chilling at home you want to feel relaxed but not like a bum, and I love these pants for that reason.

On the feet are my absolutely adorable booties that I got for Christmas from Judy, I love her so much!  These are by Rocket Dog and exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem to find, thats why I was thrilled to receive them.  The booties are so comfortable and warm.  In this case they even go with my sweater, in love!

I hope you guys liked this quick little post on fashion for relaxation.  I love feeling calm, cool and collected and this outfit is exactly what I need some days after work.  Okay, every single day after work.  What do you all wear when you get home from work?  Share it in the comments or send me a tweet!  Thank you for reading.

Shopping tomorrow (yay), DIY projects, and another day of housewives.

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great day today, mine was not bad at all.  I can't wait till tomorrow of course because as you know, im shopping with my aunt up north.  Garden State Plaza, here I come!

So today I kind of bummed around the house all day and watched Desperate Housewives.  I cleaned my room and the bathroom because they both really needed it.  Although this got done, I must admit that he cleaning came out of impulse.  I got up and just randomly started cleaning things, don't even ask.  After I was done cleaning things out of the blue, I went to pick up the cork board that I wanted to add to my DIY project that I was making.  I will insert a picture right below this text.

I made this because I couldnt find anything to fit all of my stuff.  So far, its looking really cool but I want to add something right below the cork that will hold watches and bracelets because I want somewhere for them to go as well.  I don't know how well its going to fit or anything, but we will see.  I will do another post on this once it is all done but so far I am happy with the way it has come out.  It was very easy to design, my dad helped me put it together but it was very easy to do, and it was so inexpensive!  Also, in the photo that I inserted, it is sitting on my dresser but my dad had the great idea of putting a wire on the back so it can be hung on the wall.  I love this idea and will probably do so once it is completely done.  I want to see how the bracelet holder portion will look.  I also think I want to decorate it a little bit more.  I think there will be some glitter.

I love this whole DIY process, I love making things mine! Also, doing things like this is so therapeutic.  Once in a while its really nice to create something on your own.  Not only is it cool because its a sense of accomplishment, but it's time for yourself.  The relaxing aspect of a DIY is rewarding and necessary every once in a while.

Like normal, i wanted to share my outfit for the day and my manicure of the day as well, so check them out:
